Mumbai: 2 experts who voted for axing trees quit

Two days after the controversial proposal on axing over 2,000 trees in Aarey Colony for the Metro 3 car shed was passed in the BMC, two of the three experts in the Tree Authority who voted in favour resigned on Saturday. Citizens’ groups too held protests at four spots across the city to oppose the move.
