Fines for cattle on roads to rise 300% in Mumbai

To a traveller, the one peculiar constant on the Indian landscape is the presence of cattle on our roads. BMC has now decided to take this problem by its horns. It has proposed to increase the penalty for tethering cows, bulls and horses to poles on roads and footpaths by 300%.
