Maha cannot afford another lockdown, says min

Following all-round concerns over the impact of yet another lockdown on the working classes and businesses in the state, the Maharashtra government said on Tuesday a “complete” shutdown is not in the offing, although some restrictions will have to be imposed to break the chain of the Covid-19 infection. Public health minister Rajesh Tope, too, said a complete lockdown would be unaffordable for the state.
