'Oxygen suppliers must reserve 80% for med use'

With requirement for oxygen surging, the state’s health department has directed manufacturers to divert 80% of their stocks for medical use and keep the rest for industrial purposes. Daily demand for medical oxygen in Maharashtra has touched 700 metric tonnes (MT). During the first Covid peak in September 2020, daily requirement was around 500 MT.
