New Mumbai top cop vows to wipe out underworld

Param Bir Singh (57), a 1988 batch IPS officer, took over as the new Mumbai police commissioner on Saturday. Describing Mumbai as one of the safest cities in the world, Singh said his emphasis would be on street policing, safety of women and wiping out the underworld.
