Use Marathi or risk pay hike freeze, officials told

All state government offices must use Marathi for official communication and officials who fail to adhere to this rule face a year’s delay in getting their increment, said a circular issued on Monday by the general administration department, headed by chief minister Uddhav Thackeray.
