Mumbai: Youth cleared of rape after a year in jail

After spending almost a year in jail on charges of kidnapping and raping a 17-year-old girl he had met on a Mumbai-Pune bus, a special Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act court on Wednesday acquitted a 24-year-old medical representative after the woman told the court she had never met the accused.
