Marathas aren't eligible for EWS quota: Maha govt

The state government has issued a circular stating the Maratha community would not be eligible to avail benefits under the quota for the 10% Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in the general category in the state. Community representatives however said the state should withdraw its circular as it cannot stop the community from availing reservation benefits, or they would approach the court.
