Mumbai: BMC to impose 20% water cut from Sat

The BMC has decided to impose a 20% water cut in the city from Saturday as the total water stock in the seven lakes on Thursday was 4.9 lakh million litres, which is 34% of the full capacity of the reservoirs. On July 30, 2019, the total water stock was 82%. The seven lakes should have 14.5 lakh million litres by October 1for the city to go without a water cut for the rest of the year.
