11-year-old schoolboy dies in Malad lift mishap

Atharva Sharma, an 11-year-old school-going boy, was killed after getting trapped in an elevator that was being repaired at a Malad housing society on Monday evening, reports Nitasha Natu. The youngster tried to enter the lift when it started to move upwards. Police said the lift repairman, Vivek Pandey, had failed to warn residents that the lift was under repair. He has been arrested.
