2 Mumbai cops held for extortion, 1 on the run

The crime intelligence unit of Mumbai police on Saturday arrested two of three officers of LT Marg police station, accusing them of running an extortion syndicate and collecting money from ‘angadias’ in south Mumbai after illegally confining them. ‘Angadias’ are couriers, especially for valuables, and are considered a parallel banking system.
