Maharashtra daily Covid toll hits 895, a new peak

Maharashtra registered a 70% jump in Covid fatalities on Tuesday and reported 895 deaths, the highest ever so far since the outbreak of the pandemic. With this, the state’s daily case fatality rate (CFR) was 1.3%, up from 0.7% last week.
