Maha appoints new prosecutor in Yunus custodial death case

After a significant delay and repeated reprimands from the trial court, the state has appointed a new public prosecutor in the 2002 Khwaja Yunus custodial death case. Special public prosecutor Pradip Gharat received his notification on Tuesday and made his first appearance in the case before the sessions court on Wednesday. With no prosecution witness present in court, judge VM Pathade adjourned the matter to August 3.
