Lawyer not hired for life by paying fees: Mumbai consumer commission

Observing that it appeared that the complainant was under the impression that he has hired the lawyer for life by paying the fees, and that she would continue handling his appeal until he gets a favourable order, a district consumer commission dismissed a plea by a city man who sought a refund of Rs65,000 paid as legal fees for appearing in a matter before Bombay high court along with compensation.
