'Courts mustn’t allow use of law to harass people'

The SC on Friday spoke firmly about the sanctity of personal liberty and said it was the sacred duty of courts to ensure the state did not use criminal laws as a weapon to selectively harass citizens. It made the observation while considering the case relating to an FIR filed by Maharashtra against TV anchor Arnab Goswami in the abetment to suicide case, reports Dhananjay Mahapatra.
