10 months on, general public can board locals

Local trains in the city will be open for the general public from Monday, February 1, but only during non-peak hours. After CM Uddhav Thackeray on Friday asked both Central and Western Railway to operate suburban local trains for all with a few restrictions, the order issued by chief secretary Sanjay Kumar said the general public can take locals in three time slots: from the first service till 7 am, from 12 noon to 4 pm and from 9 pm till the last train.
