Controversial former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh has now gained first-hand experience of a common man upon visiting a police station as an accused in a series of extortion cases, as well as offences registered under the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.
