1.4L Mumbai kids to get extra measles jab

Within 24 hours of getting the state nod, the BMC health department drew up a list of almost 1.38 lakh children who will get an extra dose of the measles vaccine because they live in hotspots, mainly slums, witnessing an outbreak of the viral infection. "If possible, we will start the special drive on Monday itself," said BMC executive health officer Dr Mangala Gomare.
