Child succumbs to measles complications in Mumbai

Another child has succumbed to complications due to measles, taking the toll in the ongoing series of outbreaks across the city to 15 in the span of a month. The child, barely five months old, was from Wadala and was the youngest to have died due to measles this year. "The child was born with a congenital heart disease," said BMC executive health officer Dr Mangala Gomare, making him more vulnerable to viral infections.
