Okay for plan to widen pool of candidates in APMC polls

In a move seen as a bid to dilute the control of the Congress-NCP on the powerful Agricultural Produce Marketing Committees (APMCs), the state cabinet on Thursday decided to allow farmers who are not elected to primary agricultural credit societies (PACs) to stand for APMC elections.
