Video of cop taking bribe goes viral; suspended

Thane police suspended a traffic police officer after a video of him taking a bribe of Rs200 from an autorickshaw driver in Kalyan went viral. Nivrutti Menawane was posted as assistant police inspector with Kalyan (East) traffic division. Sources said Menawane had six months to retire.
