Reacting to charges of discrimination in proposing funds for corporator wards, the BMC said former corporator Prabhakar Shinde, who was BJP's group leader in the BMC, had submitted a letter to municipal commissioner Iqbal Chahal and requested him to make a provision of Rs 3 crore each for providing civic amenities in 77 wards held by BJP and for two nominated corporators. So based on Shinde's letter, a total Rs 231 crore (Rs 3 crore each) has been proposed.
