Cabinet gives nod to CBI to prosecute Deshmukh

Three months after the CBI filed a chargesheet against former home minister Anil Deshmukh in the bribery case based on allegations made by former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh, the state cabinet gave its sanction to the agency to prosecute him.
