Govt spending on health barely 0.7% of Maha GDP

The state's spending on healthcare has largely remained stagnant over the years, even as the private sector has expanded immensely in Maharashtra. According to the recently released National Health Account Estimates, the state spent a meagre 0.7% of the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) on medical care in 2018-19, not much higher than 0.5% in 2014-15.
