As Maha swelters, power demand hits a record 27,000MW

In view of the severe heat wave lately, the state witnessed the highest peak electricity demand of a historic 27,212MW on March 15, said MSEDCL managing director Vijay Singhal on Wednesday. This included Mumbai's peak power demand that crossed 3,600MW on the same day.
