'Will withdraw cases on Covid curbs violations'

The state home department has proposed the withdrawal of cases lodged during the pandemic against citizens, including students, under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code for violation of curbs. The section relates to disobedience of an order promulgated by a public servant. The proposal has to be approved by the state cabinet.
