Lift crash from 40th floor kills 1 in Mumbai; 1 hurt

A 42-year-old lift maintenance worker died and another sustained injuries after the elevator they were standing atop to carry out repair works crashed from the 40th floor of a residential building in Grant Road on Monday. The tragedy occurred after the lift’s belt suddenly broke.
