Maharashtra govt staff gets 3% DA hike

The Maharashtra government has hiked the Dearness Allowance (DA) for its 17 lakh employees by 3%. The announcement came within hours of the Centre announcing a similar hike for its employees and pensioners from January 1, 2022. Dearness Allowance is paid as a means to offset the effects of inflation.
