1 in 3 smokers quit due to fear of Covid: Survey

The Covid-19 pandemic and the lockdown affected smokers in a diverse manner. While nearly a third of smokers interviewed for a national survey said they either cut down smoking or thought of quitting, fearing Covid-19 would severely affect them, another one-third increased smoking due to "loneliness" and "boredom" brought on by the lockdown.
