City now has 12L pvt cars, 2,150 vehicles vying for space on every km of road

The number of private cars in Mumbai has touched 12 lakh, resulting in the city’s car density, already highest in the country, rising to 600 per km of road. Besides, there are another 1.5 lakh cars operating as taxis and cabs.
