NGT admits plea against Thane civic body over waste dump on creek bank

The NGT on March 15 admitted an application filed by an NGO Vanashakti which alleged that waste was being dumped on the bank of Mumbra creek and demanded that the Thane Municipal Corporation be directed to act to ensure restoration of mangroves and fines on offenders.
