17 women pushed into prostitution rescued in Navi Mumbai, 9 pimps held

Following a tip-off by an NGO, city police rescued 17 women from a prostitution den in Navi Mumbai last week and arrested nine pimps. The NGO had found a woman who had escaped from the den and narrated her ordeal of how a man from her village had offered her a househelp's job, brought her to Mumbai and then pushed into prostitution.
