BMC cautions on use of bridges for Ganeshotsav

The BMC, in its guidelines for mandals ahead of Ganeshotsav, has drawn up a list of 13 old and dilapidated bridges and advised citizens to exercise caution while using them, especially while taking out processions to bring idols and during immersions. The advisory comes in the wake of past incidents of portions of bridges crashing like Gokhale bridge in Andheri and Himalaya bridge at CSMT.
