Mumbai: Woman cop acquitted in bribery case

Observing that a person who cannot remove someone from service cannot accord sanction for prosecution, a special CBI ACB court last week acquitted a 36-year-old woman, a police sub-inspector who was accused of demanding a bribe of Rs 5,000 for not taking action against a tea stall whose employee was accused of assaulting a customer.
