Maharashtra: No offence of sedition, says Ranas' lawyer

A sessions court judge on Saturday heard and reserved for orders a bail plea made by independent MP from Amravati Navneet Rana and her MLA husband Ravi Rana following their arrest last Saturday for alleged offence of breach of harmony and sedition over their plans to chant Hanuman Chalisa outside the personal residence of CM Uddhav Thackeray. Special judge R N Rokade said he would pass orders on Monday.
