Thanks to monsoon, state set for highest sugar output ever

Maharashtra is set to record its highest sugar production in the 2021-22 season with an estimated output of 133 lakh tonnes, which is 25% higher than the previous year. This would make Maharashtra the top sugar producer in the country, ahead of Uttar Pradesh, for the second year in a row.
